It's Tough Being A Girl

I love being a girl.
I love dressing up, wearing make up and jewelry (duh), talking to friends for hours, giggling about nothing, shopping, and all the other fun girly stuff.
I hope my daughter grows up to be super girly like me. I have a fear that since I am so much of a girl, she will rebel and be a tomboy..... please no!!
Anyway, these are a pair of shoes I recently bought for her.
I could not resist them! White sparkly crocheted shoes with ribbons and bows, oh my!
I got her looking all fancy and then I put the shoes on and we went to church. Gradually she became more and more upset. When we picked her up from the nursery they said she had been crying for a while.
She was very unhappy.
Then my hubby noticed that she kept pulling at her feet. So we took the shoes off thinking maybe they were hurting her.
Poor child. She had a purple ring around her foot where the shoes were. I felt terrible for making her wear them.
She hasn't yet learned that sometimes beauty is pain.

On another note, I am working on a giveaway and I'm wondering if I should have a few smaller giveaways so more of you can win, or just combine them into one. What do you think?
Hmmm.

lol! beauty is pain...she will learn ; ). cute shoes tho! I hope my girls are as girly as me too! I know Darby is really girly but she is a fun girly because she isn't afraid to play in dirt or walk barefoot in the grass or play with balls but when it comes down to it she loves a good dress and cute shoes and of course her accesories! Wonder how Carson will be...
Can't wait for a giveaway! hmmm. Its a hard call. I say smaller giveaways so more can win. But then again if I am going to be the main winner then I want it ALLLLLL....lol. jk. maybe ; )

Oh no! Her poor little tootsies! Well, it's true, fashion IS pain, and she might as well learn at an early age that there is no such thing as a cute AND comfortable shoe! :)

Um, I say you just do one big giveaway and give it all to....ME!!! Actually, no I like the idea of a few smaller ones so your faithful followers have more chances to win.

My mom and dad did that to me when I was little too. They took me to the fair and had some really cute shoes on me. I started screaming and crying and wouldn't stop, so they took me to a doctor and he said I had an ear infection. When they took my shoes off I immediately stopped crying! My feet were all purple and swollen:o

You just do what you want with a giveaway. Either way is a blessing to the winner;)

What fantastic shoes! How sad they hurt her poor toes. I've done something similar to all of my kids and then felt so badly afterwards. Thankfully, they don't remember.

I'm your newest follower from Friday Follow! I can't wait to look around all your shops. Ooh, something tells me I could find myself in some real trouble! :)

Oh shoe pain, it is just the beginning. Imagine if we were Asian and had to bind! Oh dear, not cool at all. Maybe her lil feet were swollen from the heat. Do lots of little giveaways so we have more chances to win great stuff! ;)

Visiting and following from Friday Follow. Yep - beauty sure can be painful sometimes. They are cute shoes though. Maybe something more comfortable.

Awwww... those little shoes are so adroable!! And don't feel bad, I would have bought them too! She has to learn early that good shoes don't always feel good, but you have to just bite your lip and bear it :-) Next time, take a picture of her new shoes on her feet... I love baby pictures like that!! Just so cute!
